Three years ago, we were moving into a new office, after having outgrown our previous space again. A bunch of us came in over the weekend to paint the walls Rocket Referrals blue. We reassembled our desks, put the white boards back up, ordered more coffee and snacks.
And that Monday, we were back at it—helping our customers solve problems. We’ve stayed focused. We worked hard. New employees and customers joined us at a steady pace. We got better. And we grew.
Today, we find ourselves ranked 481 on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S. We ranked 62 among all software companies in the U.S. and the fastest-growing software company in Iowa. We’re very proud to be among so many other innovative and successful businesses.
How we got here
We’ve been able to grow quickly and organically thanks to a few simple things:
- Our amazing, talented and caring team. We don’t just sell and support software—we truly listen to the problems businesses have and help them find solutions.
- How we approach product development. We’re constantly researching, creating and improving technology that makes a difference for our customers. And our team is there along the way to help our clients get the best results from what we have to offer and listen to what we need to deliver next.
- And finally, hard work, focus, teamwork and caffeine. We get things done around here.
We’re especially proud to be where we are today because we did it without investor funds or venture capital. We told our first customer we’d use the check they wrote us to make our product better, and we stayed true to our word. We continue to reinvest in our business, hire the best people, improve our product, build and research new features and lead the industry in the space of business communications.
Where we’re going next
We’re excited about the future and have so much in the works. New ways to automate communications, artificial intelligence to help our clients identify customers who need special attention, new text messaging automation, a creative approach to sending handwritten cards…the list goes on.
And we have a few exciting things planned for our employees and the community, too. We’re finishing up an employee-only coffee shop right next to our onsite gym and will be opening a conference/meeting center where we plan to invite clients, local businesses and students for seminars, training and networking.
We’ll continue to listen to our customers and help them solve new problems. And we’re shooting for the stars—to be the best business communications platform on planet Earth. No big deal.
And with that, it’s back to work for us!
